Most of what powers the Daman plant now doesn’t come from a grid. A 3.75 MW co-generation unit runs on agro-waste bio-briquettes and meets 85% of the site's energy needs, with a 100 KW solar array adding 12,085 KWH a year and keeping 127.75 tonnes of CO2 out of the air. Daylight does the rest, drawn in through transparent roofing sheets, while wind turbine ventilators keep the sheds cool without drawing power at all.

Little here is allowed to leave as waste. Treated wastewater goes back into the process through a Zero Liquid Discharge system. The CO2 that fermentation gives off is captured, cleaned, and liquefied, then sent on as food-grade CO2 to beverage makers or turned into dry ice for preserving food and medicine. Rooftop tanks and recharge wells return 160,359 cubic metres of rainwater to the ground each year. Even the glass has been reconsidered, with grams shaved off the Royal Respect, Hex, Kamanda, and North Pole bottles so that less material is made, moved, and eventually discarded.

A third of the premises, roughly 32,200 square metres, has been given over to green belts planted with local species. Coucals, kingfishers, cuckoos, and monitor lizards have settled in on their own. Air quality readings across the site stay well under every prescribed limit, and ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000 certifications keep the standards honest.

Then there is the town itself. Government schools have been rebuilt, squares and traffic islands developed, and the INS Khukri and a decommissioned fighter plane preserved as public memorials. The motto behind it is: to give back to society.
